City of Gangsters is a strategy game developed by Haemimont Games and published by Kalypso Media. We are in 1920, the beginning of prohibition in the United States. With the action of Congress, a huge segment of the national economy becomes illegal overnight: bars and saloons are closed, distilleries and breweries go silent, and vending machines close. But a new era is dawning: a golden age for smugglers, the black market, illegal manufacturing and organized crime.
The city of Gangster has both the formation of the city and the tactical combat game based on the round. Players start as young gangster and have to build their criminal empire by recruiting street rackets, adjusting the henchmen and taking control of stores and snowshoes. Players must navigate the city and build a network of corrupt politicians and officers responsible for the application of laws to extend their territory and increase their prosperity and their power.
The aspect of the city building includes the management of resources and finance and at the same time the creation and improvement of buildings such as speech and distilleries to make income. Players also have to face competing gangs and the police trying to close their operations.
The ground-based tactical struggle can be found on a map on which players must strategically position their gang members in order to take control of the competing gangs or the police. The fight is based on the round, by which players can use the bridge and flanking maneuvers to obtain an advantage. Players must also manage the health and weapons of their gang members during the fight.
The game also offers an incoming campaign mode in which players must make goals and missions in order to progress in history. Players can also access random events such as bank flights and starting events to earn additional money and become aware.

Start your stills and find the raw materials to supply them. Learn new techniques for making expensive drinks or smuggling imported alcohol to fuel your growing business. You will soon be supplying entire neighborhoods and opening your swings of the sweatshop.
In the black market, social currency counts as much as the greenback. With cops and feds snorting, trust is everything and personal introductions are worth gold. So work on your relationships to find new profitable friends and get the people who owe you favors to say goodbye. You’ll need a lot of hands to open new fronts, make deliveries, and protect your product from envious rivals. The ambitions of your outfit are only limited by the number of people working for you. Keep them paid, armed and organized, and who knows how far and how fast you’ll get up.
