NVIDIA App 11.0.9.585 Brings DLSS Overrides to 19 Games: Full List and How to Use Them

NVIDIA has released NVIDIA App version 11.0.9.585, and the headline change is a wider DLSS Override list. The update adds DLSS Override profiles for 19 games and Optimal Settings profiles for six titles, plus stability and security fixes. It is a compatibility update, not a new driver and not a new DLSS model, so it will not change frame rates on its own. What it does is give GeForce owners more control over DLSS settings from one place.

Guru3D reports the update landed on November 6, 2026, and NVIDIA’s own release notes list every game on the new roster. The biggest names are familiar ones: PUBG: Battlegrounds, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Dragon’s Dogma 2. Several upcoming games are on the list too, including 007 First Light, Control Resonant, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve and Gears of War: E-Day, which means their profiles will be ready before they launch.

What DLSS Override Actually Does

DLSS Override lets you manage supported DLSS options through the NVIDIA App instead of relying only on each game’s own menu. Depending on the game and the GPU installed, the available options can include model presets, Super Resolution and Frame Generation settings.

  • It puts DLSS controls for supported games in one place, under Graphics, then Program Settings, then Driver Settings.
  • It does not mean every game gets every control. Compatibility is decided title by title, and the app’s support listing is not a promise that an unreleased game is already playable.
  • DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction support arrived in the NVIDIA App with version 11.0.9, and this update builds on that same override system. Read our earlier coverage of DLSS 4.5 and Reflex in new games.
  • For model choices, NVIDIA points to DLSS Override, then Model Presets, where Recommended is the option it highlights for the 11.0.9 release line.

DLSS Override vs the In-Game Menu

Most games already have their own DLSS settings menu. So why bother with an override in the NVIDIA App? The difference is control. An in-game menu only offers what the developer chose to expose. The override works at the driver level, so it can apply DLSS options the game menu does not show, and it can update the DLSS model a game uses without waiting for a patch from the developer.

That matters most for older games. A title that shipped with an early DLSS version can run a newer model through the override, which can mean a cleaner image with no game update at all. It also matters for consistency. If you play several games, you set your preferred preset once in the app instead of hunting through a different menu in each game. The trade-off is that an override can clash with a game’s own settings, so check the result in game after you apply it.

The Full List of 19 Games

NVIDIA’s release notes list all 19 titles getting DLSS Override profiles in version 11.0.9.585:

DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition RemasteredNo
STAR WARS: Galactic RacerYesUpcoming title
Gears of War: E-DayYesUpcoming title
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: RevivalNo

One caveat on the list itself: a few names appeared in earlier release notes too, including 007 First Light and Active Matter, so not every entry is a brand new addition. NVIDIA has not explained why titles reappear, and it has not said which override controls are available for each title.

Optimal Settings for Six Games

Six titles also get Optimal Settings profiles: AION 2, Aniimo, CONTROL Resonant, EA SPORTS FC 27, Gears of War: E-Day and STAR WARS: Galactic Racer. These profiles let the app recommend graphics settings based on the system installed. They are convenience starting points, not necessarily the ideal configuration for every resolution or preference. Two details worth noting: Gears of War: E-Day appears on both lists, and EA SPORTS FC 27 gets an Optimal Settings profile but is not on the DLSS Override list.

Which GPUs Can Use These Overrides

DLSS Override is not for every graphics card. It only works on NVIDIA GeForce RTX cards, because DLSS itself is an RTX feature. Which controls you see depends on the card you own:

  • Super Resolution: works on every RTX card, from the RTX 20 series to the RTX 50 series.
  • Frame Generation: needs an RTX 40-series card or newer.
  • Multi Frame Generation: needs an RTX 50-series card.
  • Ray Reconstruction: works on all RTX cards, and it arrived in the NVIDIA App override system with version 11.0.9.

If you own a GTX card or an AMD or Intel GPU, this update changes nothing for you. The NVIDIA App itself only manages GeForce cards, so the override list will not even appear. If you are unsure which card you have, the tools in our guide on how to check GPU temperature while gaming also show your GPU model name.

How to Turn On DLSS Override

  1. Update the NVIDIA App to version 11.0.9.585.
  2. Open the app and go to Graphics.
  3. Select Program Settings and choose the game.
  4. Open Driver Settings and look for DLSS Override.
  5. Under DLSS Override, open Model Presets and pick an option. Recommended is the safe starting point.

Check each game after applying an override, especially where the title provides its own DLSS settings or has not launched yet. A profile makes settings easier to manage, but the best result still depends on image quality preferences, GPU performance and the game’s own support. If you are changing presets around, remember that DLSS model presets have already caused debate this year, as our coverage of the DLSS 5 October update preset controversy shows, so test one game at a time.

If the Override Option Is Missing

Updated the app and still cannot see DLSS Override for a game on the list? Work through these checks:

  • Confirm the app version is 11.0.9.585 or newer. Open the app, go to Settings, then About, and read the version number.
  • Restart the app after updating. Some controls only appear after a fresh launch.
  • Check that the game is actually installed and has been launched at least once through the app, so the app can detect it.
  • Remember that unreleased games on the list, like 007 First Light and Gears of War: E-Day, cannot show working overrides until the game itself is installed.
  • If the game is on the list but the control is still missing, the title may only support some override options on your GPU. Availability varies by title and hardware.

What This Update Does Not Do

  • It is not a graphics driver update. Your driver version stays the same.
  • It does not add a new DLSS model or a new upscaling feature.
  • It does not guarantee higher frame rates. NVIDIA has published no performance figures for this release.
  • It does not promise that every listed game supports every override. Available controls vary by title and GPU.
  • The update also includes general stability and security fixes, but NVIDIA’s notes do not say which bugs or vulnerabilities were addressed.

One More Thing Some Users Are Seeing

Some GeForce owners report that a new GPU App Prioritization control appears under System, then Advanced, after installing version 11.0.9.585. It is meant to split GPU resources between apps. NVIDIA’s official release notes for 11.0.9.585 do not mention it, and reports say availability is inconsistent across GPUs and driver versions, so treat it as unconfirmed for now. If the control is not on your system, that matches what other users are reporting.

Should You Update Now

Yes, if you own an RTX card and play any game on the list. The update is free, it installs through the app you already use, and it adds controls without changing your driver version. There is no performance claim attached to it, so do not expect higher frame rates. The value is control, not speed.

If you do not play any of the 19 games, there is no rush. The stability and security fixes are worth having eventually, but they are not described in detail, so there is no specific bug you need to escape from. Update when you next open the app and move on.

What It Means for PC Gamers

If you play PUBG, The Witcher 3 or Dragon’s Dogma 2, this update puts DLSS controls in the NVIDIA App where you can set them once instead of digging through each game’s menu. The biggest names on the list are existing games, while the upcoming titles mean their profiles will be ready when they launch. The practical move is simple: update the app, open the game you play, and check which overrides are available before changing anything. And if you are doing a fresh driver install alongside it, a clean install of your GPU drivers with DDU keeps old settings from carrying over.
