Borderlands SHiFT Codes November 2026: 100 Free Golden Keys and Every Active Code
Gearbox Is Giving Away 100 Free Golden Keys
The Borderlands series has passed 100 million copies sold, and Gearbox is celebrating with free loot. The studio released a SHiFT code that grants 20 Golden Keys in each of five Borderlands games. Enter it everywhere you own the series and you walk away with 100 Golden Keys from a single code.
There is a catch. The celebration code expires on November 16, 2026, and each code works only once per SHiFT account. Redeem it now, then work through the permanent codes below.
This guide lists every active Borderlands SHiFT code for November 2026: the limited-time celebration code, the permanent Borderlands 3 codes from the official 2K page, and the long-standing key codes tracked by the community. You will also find step-by-step redemption instructions and an explanation of what Golden Keys and Diamond Keys actually do.
Active Borderlands SHiFT Codes (November 2026)
Limited Time: 100 Golden Keys Celebration Code
| Code | Reward | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| CZKJJ-35RH6-T9K9C-9TJJT-SXRCT | 20 Golden Keys in each of Borderlands, Borderlands 2, The Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, and Borderlands 4 (100 total) | November 16, 2026 |
- Announced on November 2, 2026 alongside the 100 million copies milestone, as reported by GameRant.
- Redeem once per SHiFT account. If you own all five games, redeem it for each title to collect the full 100 keys.
- Heads up for Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel players: the community has long reported an overflow bug that can wipe your key count if you stack 255 or more keys on one character. Spend or spread them before you hit that number.

Long-Standing Key Codes (Community Trackers)
Code-tracking sites list these as permanent, and they have worked for a long time. Gearbox can still retire any code without warning, so treat this list as redeem-now rather than save-for-later. November 4 update: the code HXRBB-65WF3-B3TJB-TTTBJ-3K5ZC (3 Golden Keys) has expired, so it is removed from the active table above.
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
| SFXJT-S3XS3-3T3JT-33BTJ-R33JJ | 75 Golden Keys + 20 Diamond Keys |
| ZFFTJ-RWRZJ-3B333-TTJJ3-XKCSK | 50 Golden Keys + 20 Diamond Keys |

How to Redeem SHiFT Codes
- Create a free SHiFT account at the Gearbox SHiFT site. You need Borderlands 3 (or the relevant title) and a SHiFT account to redeem.
- Choose your route: enter codes on the SHiFT website under the Rewards tab, or in-game via the main menu, then Social, then the SHiFT option.
- Type or paste the full 25-character code, dashes included. Copy and paste beats typing: 0 and O look identical in some fonts.
- Open your in-game mail (Social, then Mail) to claim the keys. They do not appear in your inventory automatically.
- Each code works once per SHiFT account, not once per character.
- Codes attach to your SHiFT account, so the same steps work on PC whether you own the Steam or Epic version.
What Do Golden Keys Do?
Golden Keys open the Golden Chest: Sanctuary III in Borderlands 3, Sanctuary in Borderlands 2, and Concordia in The Pre-Sequel. The chest drops a random assortment of powerful gear scaled to your current character level.
Because loot scales with level, many players hoard keys until max level. That is a solid plan, but spending one or two early is fine if your gear falls behind the difficulty curve. If free stuff is your thing, our roundup of the best free PC games on Steam is worth a look next.
What Are Diamond Keys?
Diamond Keys are a Borderlands 3 exclusive. They open the Diamond Chest aboard Sanctuary III, which pays out a full loadout of top-tier gear instead of a single item. Diamond Keys are far rarer than Golden Keys, which makes the permanent codes above one of the only free sources left.
Where to Find New SHiFT Codes
- Most time-limited codes drop first on the official Borderlands and Gearbox social accounts. Event and milestone codes can expire within days.
- Bookmark this page. We check and refresh the code list every month, and the newest codes always go at the top.
- Borderlands 4 is the series newest entry and it is eligible for the celebration code above. You can see where it lands among this year PC releases in our upcoming PC games 2026 and 2027 roundup.
Troubleshooting
- Already redeemed: every code works exactly once per SHiFT account. There is no way to reuse one.
- Invalid code: recheck every character, especially dashes. Paste instead of typing.
- Expired: time-limited codes die without warning. Fall back to the permanent lists above.
- Mail is empty: relog, then check Social and Mail on the right character. Keys sometimes take a few minutes to arrive.
The Bottom Line
Redeem CZKJJ-35RH6-T9K9C-9TJJT-SXRCT before November 16, 2026 for up to 100 free Golden Keys, then clear out the permanent code lists while they last. That is hundreds of keys and a stack of cosmetics for about ten minutes of work. Sources: the official Borderlands 3 SHiFT codes page and the Gearbox SHiFT site.
